The band will take the audience on a musical journey that mirrors the progression of a day—from the first light of dawn, through the busy energy of midday, to the peaceful quiet of dusk. A diverse range of compositions, such as Franz von Suppé’s “Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna;” “Appalachian Morning;” and “Voyage of the Northern Lights,” blend classical, contemporary, and original works to evoke the changing moods of the day.
The concert will feature an array of pieces that capture the essence of different times of day, offering a rich and engaging experience for all age, including David Maslanka’s powerful “Give Use This Day”. With its wide-ranging musical selections, the performance aims to create a dynamic atmosphere that is both relaxing and energizing.
In addition to the concert, the Port Angeles High School Band Boosters will host a bake sale in the Performing Arts Center’s lobby, with all proceeds supporting the high school band’s travel fund for out-of-state performances. Concertgoers are encouraged to enjoy some homemade treats while supporting the talented student musicians.
