Film Screening: Incident at Oglala

February 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

| Free

President Joe Biden commutes life sentence of Leonard Peltier, Native American activist imprisoned for almost 50 years
The commutation will allow Peltier, who has long maintained his innocence in the killing of two FBI agents, to spend his remaining days in home confinement.
On June 26, 1975, two FBI agents are searching for tribesman Leonard Peltier, wanted in connection with an assault. They are killed after coming under heavy fire, presumably from Peltier and his accomplices. However, proponents claim that the FBI botched the investigation by tampering with and suppressing evidence, and that Peltier’s imprisonment is a miscarriage of justice.
