12/2/2020 – City of Port Angeles planning public works projects – County Prosecutor reacts to high-profile case changes – What’s on your Christmas playlist?

City of Port Angeles Public Works and Utilities Director Thomas Hunter talks about projects planned for utilities and and streets in the coming year. Clallam County Prosecutor Mark Nichols reacts to three of four defendants in two multiple murder cases changing pleas to guilty. Amanda Bacon gives us some holiday listening ideas. Here they are:

She Daisy – Brand New Year – “Santa’s Got a Brand-New Bag” is a GREAT get up and boogie song…and their version of What Child Is This is breathtaking.  Plus, the mashup of Hark the Harold Angels Sing and Carol of the Bells plays on repeat every year in my house!

Carrie UnderwoodMy Gift -  Great duet with John Legend on a song called Hallelujah (not the one you’re thinking of) but my favorite is the duet of Little Drummer boy with her son Isaiah.  So cute!

Jessie J – This Christmas Day - known as a pop singer, she is, in all actuality, an incredible singer.  This Christmas album is fantastic start to finish. My favorite songs off it are her rendition of “Santa Clause Is Coming to Town”, a song called “Christmas Day”, about missing someone you love, who has left this world, on Christmas, and her version of “Silent Night”.

Kelly Clarkson – Wrapped in Red - her version of “Run Run Rudolph” is just the best!  She ALSO has a version of “Silent Night” that features Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood that is CHILLING!

Of course, Mariah Carey and her Christmas album “Merry Christmas” is classic.  If you want a little different take on All I Want for Christmas is You, look up Chase Holfelder.  He sings it in a minor key and it’s just so cool!

Michael Bublé – Christmas - great Christmas album with a fun little rendition of “Santa Baby”…updated to be sung by a man…and in this decade.  It also features a sweet duet with Shania Twain on “White Christmas.”

And have you heard the Pentatonix Christmas albums…A-MA-ZING!  Mary Did you Know is stunning! Any and all of their Christmas Albums are great!

The soundtrack for the Preachers Wife is also great and has a beautiful song called, “Who Could Imagine a King” sung by the incomparable Whitney Houston.
