A disbarred lawyer in Kennewick, Washington accused of pocketing his clients’ money has pleaded guilty to theft charges.

45-year-old Christopher Neal lost his law license in February following a lengthy investigation by the Bar Association.

Neal is accused of taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from his clients and keeping the money instead of handing it over to the IRS to pay off their back taxes.

He is also accused of keeping almost $66,000 in tax refunds meant for a client.

He could face up to six months in county jail.
