PORT ANGELES — Former Roughrider and Peninsula Pirate Millie Long led her 24th-ranked University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves to a 90-44 blowout of Seattle Pacific last night at the Royal Brougham Pavilion in Seattle.
Long scored 14 points, dished out 4 assists, and tallied 8 steals. She netted half her points with soft jumpers from the elbow and the other half on layups off turnovers.
The Seawolves, now 17-2 overall and 8-0 in GNAC conference play, travel to Montana for a big conference game against 20th-ranked Montana State Billings on Saturday at 2:15 p.m.
Pirate head coach Allison Crumb and assistant coach Gabi Fenumiai attended the game to support their former NWAC MVP.

There is high school basketball action tonight:
- The Roughrider boys travel to Olympic for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff.
- The Roughrider girls host Olympic at 7:00 p.m.
- The Sequim Wolves send both their girls’ and boys’ teams to Bainbridge for a doubleheader. The girls tip off at 6:00 p.m., and the boys at 7:30 p.m.
The 3rd-ranked Sequim boys control their own destiny for winning the Olympic League championship, but three big games stand in their way:
- Tonight’s game against 10th-ranked Bainbridge.
- A February 4th trip to North Kitsap.
- The final game of the season at home against 8th-ranked Bremerton.
The Wolves blew out Bainbridge in their first meeting, 69-46. Since that loss, the Spartans have won 10 straight games.
Both games will be broadcast live on KONP Newsradio, with the Les Schwab Tires Pre-Game Show starting at 5:45 p.m. Oly Archibald and Joe Gladfelter will provide the play-by-play.
Wolves Head Coach Craig Brooks, on the KONP Newsradio post-game show, noted that the Wolves are ranked 3rd with an 8-1 league record and a 13-1 overall record.
