SEQUIM — The Sequim City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, February 3 at 5:00 p.m. at the Sequim Civic Center to conduct interviews with applicants for the vacant seat on the Council.

The Council is expected, but not required, to appoint a new member at that meeting. The new member would begin serving at the following regular City Council meeting on Monday, February 10.

The City Council position is vacant due to the resignation of Councilor Kathy Downer for personal reasons. By Washington State Law, the City Council is required to fill a vacant position within 90 days of the vacancy.
