PORT ANGELES — Clallam County Commissioners hold a hearing tomorrow on a proposed increase in property taxes for next year’s general fund and road fund.
The county is proposing the state-allowed 1% levy increase for both the general and roads funds. The Conservation Futures Fund levy would remain unchanged under the proposal.
The 1% increase would add just over $123,000 to the current $12.38 million general fund levy. The roads fund would see an added $83,000 next year if approved.
State law limits annual property tax levy increases to 1% without voter approval.
The public hearing on the proposal is set for 10:30 Tuesday morning at the county commissioners meeting room at the courthouse.
