Port Angeles — A weather system moving in will impact most of western Washington, bringing high winds, steady rain and mountain snow.

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. Tuesday to 4 a.m. Wednesday for most of the Puget Sound area, and a High Wind Warning is in effect for the Washington coast and the San Juan Islands over the same time period.

The National Weather Service warns they’ll get the worst of it with sustained winds of up to 40 mph and gusts up to 55 mph for much of the coast, Admiralty Inlet area, San Juan County, and western Skagit and Whatcom counties.

They’re saying here along the eastern Strait of Juan De Fuca, we can expect sustained winds up to 30 mph and gusts up to 45 mph.

Again, that’s supposed to kick in at around 4:00 today and go through 4:00am Wednesday.
