JOYCE — A two-vehicle crash on Highway 112 near Peters Road injured two people and blocked both directions of traffic yesterday afternoon.

The State Patrol says the accident occurred around 3:50 p.m. Troopers say 40-year-old Travis E. Waddell was driving a truck with a trailer and attempted to turn onto eastbound Highway 112 from Peters Road. He failed to yield to a westbound pickup truck driven by 35-year-old Justin R. Gilbert. The pickup crashed into the trailer.

Gilbert and his passenger, 29-year-old Jeremiah E. Rodriguez, were taken to Olympic Medical Center with injuries. All involved were wearing seatbelts, and neither drugs nor alcohol were factors. Waddell was uninjured and did not face charges.
