In Swimming action the Roughriders had a very impressive day in Poulsbo where they finished 4th out of 11 teams placing just behind class 3A schools. Harper McGuire was the big individual story for the Roughriders placing 4th in the 400 Free style and 6th in the 200 free style.
Placing 4th in the 200 Medley Relay was Lizzy Shaw, McGuire, Fu Yau and Asgeirsson.
400 relay team finished 4th with Lynzee Reid, Amayah Nelson, Lizzy Shaw and Fu Yau.
200 Medley finished 6th with Asgeirsson, Nelson, Reid and Emerson DuBois.
In Tennis, the Roughriders are now 7-1 on the season after beating Bremerton 6-1.In Singles Matthew Miller lost 1-6 3-6.
C.J Elliott won 6-1 6-3. Carter Gundersen won 6-0 6-2.
In doubles action Luke Flodstrom and Tate Alton won 6-1 6-1. Reid Schmidt and Keatyn Hoch won 6-0 6-1. Austin Worthington and Grant Butterworth won 6-1 6-0. Parab Seera and Garrett Buerer won 6-1 6-2.
In high school football news, the Sequim Wolves earned a feel good 52-6 win over Kingston. The Wolves will travel to Olympic Friday night.
The Roughriders got a huge win over Olympic 48-26 in a game that was not as close as the score. Friday night is the Roughridrs game of the year at Bremerton. The winner of this game could, in the end, decide the leagues #2 playoff team. Kick off is Friday night at 6:30 and you can hear the live, play by play action right here on Newsradio KONP.
