PORT ANGELES – A travel trailer went up in flames late Sunday night east of Port Angeles.

Clallam 2 Fire Rescue was called to the scene in Gales Addition near 5^th Avenue to initial reports of a structure fire.

Chief Jake Patterson says it was eventually discovered to be a travel trailer which was burning and there were some reports of loud explosions suspected to be propane.  He says the occupant was not at home at the time of the fire and contact was made with him later yesterday.

There was an outbuilding and several other combustible items around the trailer that started to burn but the crew was able to knock it down quickly.

No injuries were reported.
