PORT ANGELES – For a third day in a row, Port Angeles set an all-time maximum temperature record.
Yesterday’s high of 99 breaks the hottest temperature ever recorded for Port Angeles. That topped the previous record set Sunday at 97 and before that Saturday was the hottest day ever recorded at 96 degrees.
Marine air began to push into the area last night and that will moderate temperatures some Tuesday. High temperatures are expected to to be about 20 degrees cooler.
Seattle also hit another all-time high temperature record. It was 108 degrees at SeaTac Airport by Monday evening. Portland, OR reach 116 degrees on Monday.
The warm, dry weather will continue for at least another 10 days.
