PORT ANGELES – Winning adopted rubber ducks were plucked from the bed of a pickup truck Sunday in the 32nd annual Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby.
Proceeds from purchases of adoptions benefits the Olympic Medical Center Foundation. Foundation Executive Director Bruce Skinner says this year’s event set a record for dollars raised. He says the event netted $115,000.
Forty prizes were awarded, with the top prize a new Toyota Corolla from Wilder Toyota. Martha Melcher won the top prize.
