EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — A judge has sentenced a man in Washington state to more than 30 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to fatally shooting his wife at work two years ago.

Snohomish County Judge Jennifer Langbehn sentenced 61-year-old Jeffery Phebus on Monday. Prosecutors said he shot and killed his 57-year-old wife Rebecca Phebus in 2019 at the Achilles USA plastics manufacturing plant in Everett, where she worked and he had been fired a month earlier.
