SEQUIM – There were no serious injuries to report following a dramatic auto collision Sunday evening at the intersection of Old Highway 101 and Kitchen-Dick Road near Sequim.
Clallam 3 Fire-Rescue Assistant Chief Dan Orr says they got the call just before 6:00pm. He reports the driver of a 4-door sedan ran the stop sign and struck a pickup truck that was towing a trailer. The truck then hit a power pole, which was sheared off at the ground, dropping on top of the truck and the trailer.
Traffic was halted in both directions for 10-15 minutes to remove debris. Nicole Clark at Clallam PUD says a crew had power restored to all customers within 9 hours.
The driver of the car was cited for negligent driving.
