PORT ANGELES – This weekend’s Dungeness Crab and Seafood Festival in Port Angeles once again broke all records for attendance and number of crabs sold.

We asked festival producer Scott Nagel to give us a quick rundown on the numbers.

“Yes. Well, this was the biggest weekend ever. We have grown every year and this year we went from 15,000 pounds of crab, I just got a total, we were eighteen thousand three hundred pounds of whole crab. So it was the best weekend ever and of course, we had beautiful weather the whole time. We were so busy this year. We didn’t really have a chance to do all the steps you need to do to calculate attendance at a free event, but it certainly it certainly was more than 20,000. I wouldn’t be surprised. It was upwards of 25,000 people. People come from all over they want Dungeness crab at the source and our reputation is a growing throughout the country is having people say this is why the top seafood festivals in the in the country.
