PORT ANGELES – A road improvement project at Lincoln Park begins today, prompting weekday closures of the park from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, through mid-April.

The City of Port Angeles is resurfacing the park’s access road and parking areas, repairing potholes, and improving drainage. Bollards will also be installed to prevent off-road driving and protect tree roots from damage and erosion.

The project is expected to be completed by April 21, weather permitting.

Youth sports activities and the Port Angeles Dog Park will remain open and are not affected by the closure.

Drivers should expect occasional detours near the work zone and are urged to slow down and follow posted signs.
