Port Angeles – The City of Port Angeles Park Host Program is returning to Erickson Playfield for its second year, and they’re looking for the right person or persons to be the next host.

Park Host volunteers will represent the Port Angeles community while providing an informative presence at the park. Hosts will have access to a 40’ x 14’ gravel pad with full hookups to power, water, and sewer, along with free Wi-Fi. Opportunities are currently available from April through October of this year, and a minimum commitment of one month is preferred.

Volunteers will greet and assist visitors with their questions, inform parkgoers of, but not enforce, park rules, distribute maps, and assist with some of the maintenance duties in the restrooms, among other things.

To apply for the Park Host Program, individuals must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a background check, provide a suitable motor home, camper, or travel trailer, as well as other requirements.

The application period is now open. Those interested can apply online at cityofpa.us/ParkHostProgram, or in person at the Parks & Recreation Department Office in Port Angeles.
