SEQUIM – A two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 near Guiles Road early Thursday morning left one driver injured and resulted in both vehicles being totaled, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash occurred at 5:43 a.m. when a 2024 Isuzu NPR box truck, driven by 44-year-old Jacob S. Haddon of Fife, struck a 2023 Kia Seltos that was slowing to turn left. The impact pushed both vehicles to a stop on the centerline, facing westbound.
The Kia’s driver, 46-year-old Sondra L. Greenlow of Sequim, was injured and airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. Haddon was uninjured and cited for following too closely and distracted driving.
Authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. The highway was temporarily blocked while crews cleared the scene.
