PORT ANGELES — There is NWAC action tomorrow at Peninsula College as the Pirates host Olympic in a doubleheader. The men tip off at 2:00 p.m., followed by the women at 4:00 p.m.

It’s a must-win for the Pirate men, who are 5-5 in conference play and tied for 4th place, which is the final playoff spot. Olympic is 0-10 in conference play and 3-20 overall. In their first meeting in Bremerton, the Pirates prevailed 103-92.

The Pirate women have won 17 straight games, leading the conference with a 10-0 record. Olympic and Skagit Valley are tied for 2nd place with 7-3 records.

The Pirates have been without All-Conference point guard Shania Moanunu for the last six games. Moanunu sprained her ankle in the second half of their last game at Olympic. Despite her absence, the Pirates earned a hard-fought 69-67 win over the Rangers, with Moanunu leading the way with 18 points.

The Pirates are averaging 73 points per game, ranking 7th in the NWAC, and they rank 3rd in defense, allowing just 56 points per game.

A familiar face will be on the court for Olympic—former Pirate and Neah Bay Red Devil Allie Greene, who returns home wearing a Ranger jersey. In the Pirates’ 69-67 win at Olympic, Greene shot the lights out with 22 points. She is averaging 16 points, 4 rebounds per game, while shooting 49% from the field, 43% from three-point range, and 86% from the free-throw line.

Former Neah Bay Red Devil and Pirate Allie Greene returns home this Saturday, wearing a Ranger jersey as she faces the Pirates.

Pirate and former Neah Bay Red Devil Ryana Moss will go up against her former teammate, Allie Greene, tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. Moss and Greene won a state championship together at Neah Bay.
