Port Angeles – A 21-year-old man is in custody today on multiple charges including Drive-by Shooting after an incident that happened over the weekend.

On Sunday at about 8:15pm, officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. The caller said the suspect was out in the street and threatened to shoot at Police Officers if they came to the house.

While enroute, Officers received confirmation that the suspect was firing handgun rounds in the vicinity of 11th and Cedar. When they arrived, they saw the suspect fleeing the area in a pick-up truck.

Deputy Police Chief Jason Viada picks up the action from there.

“The investigation suggests that while attempting to avoid contact with officers, the suspect threw his pistol out the window of the truck. The pistol hit a parked car near Fifth and Pine. The witness was seated in the park car. When the pistol hit the car, the suspect drove down a dead end street near 3rd and Pine and was arrested by officers, who also processed him for DUI.”

Viada says the pistol, a 45-caliber semi-automatic, was recovered from the gutter near the parked car, along with several spent casings from the area of the initial call.

Allen Joseph Ordona was booked into the Clallam County jail.

“One more detail is that, from processing the crime scene, it looks like several of the rounds struck the black top surface of the street, and we have no idea where they went after that. And so, if somebody goes out to get in their car to go to work and finds a bullet hole in it, or if somebody goes out to get their mail and looks back at their house and sees a bullet hole in that we’d love to hear from them.”
