clamming-2

Olympia – If fried razor clams or clam chowder sound good for Super Bowl Sunday, you’ll be glad to know that the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife shellfish managers just confirmed seven days of razor clam digs on coastal beaches beginning Saturday, Feb. 8.

Scheduled digs during evening low tides will begin on Saturday with the low tide at 3:36pm, and each day after that through Valentines Day, Feb. 14.

As usual, not all coastal beaches are open for every dig, so diggers are encouraged to make sure their intended destination is open before heading out.

Additional tentative dates scheduled for February begin on Monday, Feb. 24, through Friday, Feb.28. And there are 14 days tentatively scheduled in March.
