All four area high school basketball teams had their games canceled last night, and all four games will be played on Friday night.
The Port Angeles boys’ game at Bremerton will tip off at 6:00. The two girls’ games—Bremerton at Port Angeles and North Kitsap at Sequim—will tip off at 7:00.
The Sequim boys’ game at North Kitsap on Friday night will tip off at 7:00 and will be broadcast here on KONP Newsradio. If the Wolves can upset Bremerton tomorrow night in Sequim, a win over the Vikings would give them a share of the Olympic League Championship.

There is an NWAC men’s basketball game tonight as the Peninsula Pirates host the Whatcom Orcas, with a 5:00 tip-off.
The Pirates, 3-4 in conference play and 9-11 overall, see this as a must-win game to stay in contention for the fourth spot in the NWAC tournament. The Orcas, 2-5 in conference and 5-17 overall, beat the Pirates 86-76 in their first meeting in Bellingham.
Three freshmen are leading the Pirates in scoring: forward Akeem Sulaiman, averaging 12 points and 7 rebounds per game; guard Jaiden Blackmon, averaging 13 points per game; and guard Isaiah Lopez, averaging 14 points per game. Lopez is shooting 37% from the three-point line.
There is no women’s game tonight, as Whatcom has canceled its season—a real head-scratcher considering Whatcom is based in the center of some of the best basketball programs in the state.
The Pirates’ women’s team was ranked third again in the latest NWAC basketball poll.
The Pirates travel to Edmonds on Saturday, with the men tipping off at 2:00 and the women at 4:00. Both games will be broadcast here on KONP Newsradio.
