PORT ANGELES — Downtown Port Angeles will come alive this Saturday for the Port Angeles Hometown Holidays & Tree Lighting Festival.

Kicking off on Small Business Saturday, the event features live entertainment from noon to 5 p.m. on Laurel Street, hosted by emcee Tim Tucker. Food vendors, including High Country Mini Donuts and Porter’s Pies, will serve festive treats from 2-7 p.m.

The celebration culminates with Santa Claus’s arrival at 4:45 p.m., followed by the Christmas tree lighting at 5 p.m. Santa will greet children for photos until 7 p.m.

Sequim will host its annual Hometown Holidays celebration this Saturday alongside Small Business Saturday as well. The event, organized by the City of Sequim, Sequim Museum & Arts, and the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce, begins at 1 p.m. at Centennial Square, featuring crafts, wreath sales, and treats from local Scouts. Visitors can purchase “Shop Sequim” totes filled with coupons valid through Dec. 31.

The Sequim City Band performs at 1:30 p.m., marking the arrival of Santa Claus and the Irrigation Festival royalty. Santa will greet visitors from his sleigh until 4 p.m. Additional musical acts include Juan de Fuca Harmony at 2:30 p.m. and Olympic Brass at 3:30 p.m.

New this year is a caroling session led by Sequim’s favorite vocalist Amanda Bacon at 4:15 p.m., leading up to the official tree lighting at 4:45 p.m., sponsored by 7 Cedars Resort.

The popular Lighted Tractor Cruise follows, with tractors parading through downtown.
