PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles is unveiling the first draft of new regulations for mobile and itinerant vendors at the upcoming Planning Commission meeting tomorrow.
The changes mark the city’s first effort to set clear rules for businesses like food trucks and other mobile operations. City officials say the goal is to create a consistent permitting process while promoting public safety, supporting local businesses, and fostering new economic opportunities.
The city wants residents to be part of the process. Feedback from the community will play a key role in shaping the final version of the proposed amendments. During the October 23 meeting, attendees will have a chance to share their thoughts and ideas. The city is also accepting comments by email for those who can’t make it in person or online.
The meeting will run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers on East 5th Street, with a virtual option available for remote participants. City leaders encourage residents and stakeholders to take part, emphasizing that the new regulations aim to reflect the community’s needs and interests.
