SEQUIM — The Olympic Medical Center Foundation raised a record $386,000 at its 22nd annual Harvest of Hope event, held Saturday at the Guy Cole Events Center in Sequim. The funds will support the OMC Cancer Center Patient Navigator Program, the Foundation’s scholarship program, and new equipment for the Cancer Center. The Patient Navigator Program assists low-income cancer patients with basic living expenses.
Sound Community Bank and its CEO, Laurie Stewart, were honored with the Rick Kaps Award, which recognizes contributions to cancer care.
Cancer survivor Ron Sather shared his story, praising the care he received at OMC. The Foundation has donated over $4.1 million to support the Cancer Center.
