PORT ANGELES – Beginning today, the City of Port Angeles invites residents to participate in a series of workshops aimed at shaping the city’s 2045 Comprehensive Plan. This plan will guide the city’s future in areas such as housing, economic development, land use, and environmental protection.

The three-day Storefront Studio, held at 230 East 1st Street, runs through Wednesday. Community members are encouraged to drop in during the day to explore interactive displays and discuss their ideas with city staff. Each day also features an evening workshop focusing on specific planning themes:

• Today, Sept. 23: 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. (Vision and Development Scenarios) – Discuss priorities and explore how the community’s vision for 2045 can be achieved.
• Tuesday, Sept. 24: 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. (Making It Real) – Address current challenges and explore how policies can be improved to meet future needs.
• Wednesday, Sept. 25: 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. (Review and Refine) – Reflect on previous discussions, followed by a Planning Commission Meeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., where community feedback will help refine the plan.
