SPOKANE — Nadia Cole, originally from Port Angeles, has been identified as the third person indicted in the case of international kidnapping of a child out of Pullman.

She is scheduled to appear in court on September 6.

Cole is the fiancée of Aaron Aung and is being charged with conspiring to and committing international kidnapping.

Court documents say that Cole went with Aung to Mexico with Aung’s daughter in June and remained there until July 4.

According to Pullman police, the two-year-old girl was found at a roadside checkpoint near Santa Ana, Mexico. She was traveling with her biological father, Aaron Aung, and his fiancée, 21-year-old Nadia Cole.

Cole was reported missing at SeaTac at the end of May and was believed to be traveling with Aung, whose whereabouts were unknown at the time.

Aung and Cole were detained by authorities in Mexico and then turned over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The FBI coordinated with Mexican authorities to locate the child and return her home safely.
