PORT ANGELES — The 103rd Clallam County Fair opens today (Thursday) set to delight attendees with festive food, children’s activities, and a wide array of entertainment through Sunday in Port Angeles.
This year’s theme, “Celebrate the Bounty of Our County,” will be showcased throughout the event.
Fair manager Shari Ioffrida says she has a very full fair again this year.
“I have filled pretty much every single space that we have. I even created some new ones where I haven’t put vendors before, so we have we have a lot of good variety of different things that people are selling some awesome food vendors some new food vendors,” Ioffrida told Newsradio KONP.
She also says they have some great entertainment lined up too.
“Thursday at the Wilder stage, we have ‘Victims of Love’. It’s an Eagles tribute. And then Friday, ‘Infinity Project’ which is a Journey tribute and then Saturday ‘Whiskey River’ and it’s a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band and we have a lot of local bands. We have new bands and a big variety.”
Ioffrida says they are up again this year in the number of 4-H entries with plenty of animals on display. The carnival returns with some new rides as well.
For adults, the fair also brings back its successful beer garden. It will operate during the rodeo times Friday and Saturday evenings. Speaking of the rodeo, the expanded rodeo will again be a PCRA sanctioned event with a larger purse and it expected to bring in some of the best riders and ropers in the northwest.
