LAKE PLEASANT – It has been 2.5 years since the November 2021 storm rendered the Lake Pleasant Community Beach County Park Dock essentially unusable. After two years of effort to get funding through the Washington Recreation and Conservation Office and permits through the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, the county is set to commence dock repairs on July 17th.
On Monday, July 15th, the county will close Lake Pleasant Community Beach County Park to the public so that Quigg Brothers of Aberdeen can begin staging equipment for the project. The park will remain closed until approximately Monday, July 29th. However, if the work is completed ahead of schedule, the park may reopen earlier.
