SHINE – Overnight travelers on the Hood Canal Bridge will get another reprieve from schedule closures next week.
WSDOT says the full, overnight closures that were to start again this Monday will not happen.
Contractor crews working for WSDOT are currently repairing one of the bridge’s center locks. This work must be completed before the removal and replacement of shock absorbers on the same side of the bridge can begin. The shock absorber replacement necessitates the bridge’s closure to traffic.
Overnight closures are now set to resume on Monday, June 10. The bridge will close at 10 p.m. each night through Friday, June 14.
