PORT ANGELES – We received an update Thursday to the officer-involved shooting that occurred on May 3rd in downtown Port Angeles (learn more here).
The Kitsap Critical Incident Response Team (KCIRT), which is handling the investigation, provided us with this new information. They said evidentiary items have been sent to the state lab for analysis, but results may take weeks to months to receive as requests of this kind are reviewed in order they are received, and according to priority.
However, the investigation has revealed a female was using the ATM at the time of the incident. Investigators would like to identify and interview her. They say if you are that person or know that person, please contact Sgt. Brandon Myers of the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office at (360) 337-5683.
