PORT ANGELES — A vehicle erupted into flames in Port Angeles Monday morning.

The Port Angeles Fire Department responded to a fire on the 100 block of North Ennis St. at about 10 AM. Upon arrival, responders found a single vehicle engulfed in flames in the southbound lane.

They successfully doused the flames and safeguarded a nearby storm drain.

No injuries were reported as the driver escaped unharmed. However, the vehicle sustained irreparable damage and was declared a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
