
PORT ANGELES — In high school tennis action, the Port Angeles Roughriders beat Bremerton 5-2. In singles, Waverly Mead won 6-1 6-0. Bridget Weed won 6-2 6-1.
Emma Murray won 6-2 6-1. In doubles action, Cayleigh Alward and Abby Riffle won 6-0 6-0. Lizzy Clark and Jule Getzin won 7-5 7-5.

In girls golf action, Sequim beat Kingston who forfeited but the Sequim scores still count toward league points. Emily Post shot a 51. Ava Johnson, Taryn Johnson and Raimey Brewer all shot 52s for a final score of 207. The Wolves host Port Angeles Thursday.

In fast pitch action, Kingston beat Sequim 12-5. The Wolves travel to North Mason today with the first pitch at 4:15.
Port Angeles beat North Kitsap 7-4. Abby Kimball was the hero hitting a grand slam homerun to go with 2 singles and 4 RBIs. Natalie Robinson was 3 for 3 with a triple 2 singles and a RBI. Lynzee Reid went 2 for 4 with a double and a single.
Heidi Leitz earned the win going the distance with 8 strikeouts.

The Port Angeles Roughrider soccer team battled back to win 5-4 over Bremerton. The Riders were down 3-1 at the half. Mathew Miller made four the goals and put his season total at 11 goals so far.

A 7th member of the Klahhane Gymnastic team has made Regionals. Lainey DePiro has qualified in the All Around.

Peninsula Pirate basketball coach Allison Crumb has struck gold again. Although this time Coach Crumb has gone to a Copper town in Big Sky Country to grab Makena Patrick of Anaconda Montana. Patrick, a 1000 point scorer, has close connections and blood lines to the Pirate basketball program. We will have a full feature write up on Makena on Friday.
