The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Wednesday afternoon, a driver launched their pickup off an embankment near Adelma Beach and went airborne for around 150’ before rolling several times to the bottom of the hill.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and required immediate medical attention.

Deputies were able to speak with the driver who reported driving southbound on South Discovery Road before blacking out at the wheel.

That driver was airlifted to Harborview, their condition unknown.
