SEQUIM – One person was hurt in a crash on Highway 101 yesterday that backed up traffic for miles west of Sequim.
It happened about 4:30 pm. According to the State Patrol, a Honda Accord driven by Kenneth Shuman of Sequim attempted to make a left turn off the Highway at Gilbert Road. He drove into a Subaru coming the other way. Rhonda Huchonson of Sequim was driving that vehicle and was hurt in the crash.
The accident and ensuing investigation tied up traffic on the highway for more than an hour, resulting in long backups.
