SEQUIM — The Sequim Wolves fast pitch team got off to a great start beating Forks 7-3.

Ava Ritter was productive at the plate going 1 of 2 with a single, 1 walk and 2 RBIs.

Mikki Green went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. Taylee Rome was 1 of 2 with a single, a walk and 2 RBIs. Rylan Doig went 1 for 3 with a single.

Pitcher Neveah Owens pitched a solid 7 innings for the win scattering 7 hits for 2 earned runs.

The Wolves will host Bainbridge on Tuesday.

The Roughrider fast pitchers are at Central Kitsap today with a 4:00 start.

In baseball action, Bainbridge beat Sequim 9-0.

Tomorrow, Bremerton is at Port Angeles and Sequim will host Bainbridge.

Bob Anderson’s Roughrider boys golf team hit the greens and despite the bad weather conditions the Roughriders were solid in a 172 – 205 win Kingston.

Reid Schmidt led the way shooting a 41. Nate Anderson shot a 42. Cale Wentz shot a 44 and, with one of the best names in golf, Sky Gelder shot a 45.

Mike DuPuis got a solid performance from the Roughrider girls team as well, beating Kingston 228-288. Lauren Chapman shot a 52. Claire Osterberg shot a 54. Mia Neff shot a 60. Malena Marquez had a 62 and shot her first ever birdie on the tough 9th hole.

Autumn Wilson-Rowland shot a personal best of 63. Izzy Spencer shot a 67.

In soccer action, the Roughriders are now 2-0 after beating a solid Kingston team 3-1.  Mathew Miller scored all 3 goals for the hat trick thanks to Alejandro Martinez and his 2 assists.

The Roughriders will travel to Sequim on Thursday.
