PORT ANGELES – Clallam County Commissioner Randy Johnson will run for a third term.

Johnson, who is an Independent, announced his intentions this week to seek another four years representing the central district of Clallam County.

In a prepared release, Johnson said there are priorities that remain unfinished, and he intends to “continue advocating for things that matter to all of us.”

Specifically, he listed dealing with housing, childcare, and veteran’s issues. He also says he wants to continue working on conserving farmland and seeing a new Emergency Operations Center project through.

Among accomplishments, Johnson said he is proud of new changes he helped make to the county’s financial structure that create greater accountability.

Johnson was first elected to the seat in 2017 and was re-elected in 2021.
