POULSBO — In high-school basketball action last night the Sequim Wolves’ girls (7-3; 9-4) got back to playing good basketball with a convincing 66-51 over North Kitsap.
Wolves’ junior guard Bobbi Mixon had the best game of her career having the hot hand early by hitting four 3-point shots and hit for 20 points. The Wolves’ full court press was effective as they turned Viking turnovers into lay ups. The Wolves led 16-10 after the first quarter and 35-25 at the half. Gracie Chartraw led the Wolves with 21 points and Jolene Vaara had one of her best games of the season hitting for 16 points with many of the points coming inside the paint and lay ups off of turnovers.
