
SILVERDALE — In girls high school basketball action last night, the Sequim Wolves in a game broadcast on KONP Newsradio blew out Olympic 64-34.
Freshman point guard Gracie Chartraw again was on fire hitting for 26 points with 6, 3-point shots. Chartraw also had 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
The Wolves full court press came up with steal after steal for easy baskets. The Wolves led 13-5 after the first quarter and 39-16 at the half and 60-27 after 3 quarters.
Jolene Vaara hit for 13 points had 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Dani Herman hit for 9 points to go with 4 rebounds. Libby Turella hit for 7 points, pulled down 10 rebounds, had 3 steals and 3 blocked shots. Bobbie Mixon hit for 8 points and pulled down 8 rebounds.

The Wolves are now tied with Port Angeles with 5-1 league records with the Roughriders traveling to Sequim on Thursday. The Roughriders are ranked 27th in the RPI while the Wolves are ranked 8th.
The Roughriders (5-1; 7-6) beat Kingston last night 59-33.

In boys action, as expected the Roughriders blew out Kingston 84-55 and the Wolves beat Olympic 68-52.
Tomorrow the Wolves will host the Roughriders with the tip off at 5:15. The Seqium girls will host the Roughriders at 7 pm. Both games will be broadcast live with the pre game show starting at 5 pm. Oly Archibald will have the play by play, Joe Gladfelter and Bill Bates will have the color commentary.

In high school bowling action yesterday the Roughriders lost to state power Klahowya 5-2 by just 17 pins.
Abby Robinson, in game one, bowled a 180.
In game two, Paige Pangaro rolled 3 straight strikes in the 10th frame to finish with a 156. Both Zoey Van Gordon 135/146 and Xoey Penn 127/142 consistently picked up spares and raised their averages. Kenadie Ring added a Turkey while Brooklyn McKnight bowled a 154 and Izzy Spencer bowled a 122 to earn personal highs.
The Roughriders host Olympic on Thursday.
