PORT ANGELES – The Salvation Army is getting the word out that donations at the familiar Red Kettles, including the online version, are way down this year, and their coffers are critically low to be able to provide their usual services in the coming year.
That’s why they’re asking everyone in Port Angeles to donate to support neighbors in need this Christmas by dropping cash or checks into a Red Kettle or donate online at northwest.salvationarmy.org.
Red Kettle donations permit The Salvation Army to meet the urgent needs of thousands of families who will not have Christmas this year without your help.
In Port Angeles, $3,607 has been raised but an additional $37,000 is needed to serve neighbors in need. With Christmas less than two weeks away, families are counting on your generosity to make Christmas bright.
The Salvation Army serves more than 600,000 people across the Pacific Northwest throughout the year.
