PORT TOWNSEND – Another candidate has announced a run for the US Congressional seat being vacated by Derek Kilmer.
This week, Jefferson County Commissioner Kate Dean said she will run for the seat next year.
Dean becomes the third Democrat announcing intentions to run. Last month, current State Lands Commissioner Hilary Franz announced she was pulling out of her race for governor and going for the 6th District seat.
State Sen. Emily Randall of Bremerton is also in the race.
The only Republican to indicate he is running is State Senator Drew MacEwan of Union.
