PORT ANGELES – The Lumen/CenturyLink internet outage that started Thursday afternoon is creating connectivity issues for a lot of people today.

Details are scant at this time. We have been told that the issue is with one communications tower, that a crew is working on it, and that there is no estimated time for when they’ll be up and running. We don’t have much else to go on.

The Port Angeles School District is facing an Internet outage. They were told they should expect to be back online by this morning, but that obviously didn’t happen. If you have any questions or concerns, they ask that you reach out to the district via the established phone system.

Olympic Medical Center is dealing with electronic medical record system and other clinical system issues due to the outage. They, too, are unsure of when the issues will be resolved, but they say they are continuing to provide medical care in their clinics and hospital.

The City of Port Angeles put out some messaging to let people know they are not affected by the outage, nor is 911 service. They said if you are experiencing issues with phone connectivity, you can still contact City staff in person at City Hall.
