PORT ANGELES – As work continues to build a new bridge across the Elwha River west of Port Angeles, WSDOT crews are alerting travelers to their plan to do work over the course of six consecutive nights beginning this coming Saturday, November 11 through Thursday, November 16.
The work is expected to disrupt traffic between 3:00am and 5:00am as workers set large girders for the new bridge over the Elwha River. Traffic stops of up to 30 minutes at a time are expected. Three girders will be placed each night.
When traffic is not being held, the roadway will have one-way alternating traffic. Continued one-way alternating traffic will continue until 9:00am each of the six days.
The work is weather-sensitive and may be rescheduled.
Travelers can receive email updates about roadwork on state highways in Clallam County. Real-time information is available via the WSDOT app and WSDOT Travel Center Map.
