LOCAL SPORTS: Sequim and PA notch soccer wins

SEQUIM — In high school soccer action last night, the 12th ranked Sequim Wolves shut out Kingston 4-0. Taryn Johnson had 2 goals and an assist; Jenny Gomez had 2 goals. Amara Gonzales and Olive Bridge had assists. The Wolves now 6-1 have outscored their opponents 32-8. It was the first shutout of the season for Goalie Kalli Grove.  Taryn Johnson has now scored 71 career goals. The Wolves will host North Mason Tomorrow night.

Port Angeles improved its record to 4-4 with a 4-0 shutout of Bremerton. Page Mason scored 2 goals, Kedryn DeScala and Izzy Felton both scored goals. The Roughriders will host Kingston tomorrow night.

There is middle school football today.  Stevens travels to Port Townsend and Sequim will play Forks. Both games kick off at 4 pm.

In swimming action, the Roughriders are at Sequim with a 3:30 pm start.

In NWAC soccer the #1 ranked Pirate women kick off at Everett at 5:30 pm and the 6th ranked Pirate men will kick off at 7:30 pm.
