The Roughriders will host Bremerton with kickoff at 7:15 pm.

In volleyball action Sequim will host Kingston with the start time at 6:15 pm. The Roughriders will host Bremerton with the first serve at 6:30 pm.

It’s the biggest football game in years for the Port Angeles Roughriders Friday night at Bremerton.

Bremerton is in a first-place tie with North Kitsap, both teams have 3-0 league records. The Roughriders are just one game out with a 2-1 league record. Realistically, the winner of this game has a great shot at getting the 2nd-place playoff spot. Only an unlikely Bremerton upset of North Kitsap would change the scenario.

Bremerton beat Olympic 37-36 3 weeks ago. Since then, the Knights have beat Kingston 61-3 and North Mason 63-0. The Knights average 53 points per game and give up just 14 points. The Roughriders are averaging 31 points a game and giving up 29.

The Knights are led by arguably the best running back in the league Jalin LittleRaven Oliver a 5’10” 183-pound senior. Oliver has rushed for 954 yards on 61 carries for an average of almost 10 yards per carry and 9 TDs. Fullback Oliver Christian a 5’10” 210-pound senior. Christian has rushed for 489 yards on 40 carries averaging an unreal 12 yards per carry and 8 TDs.

Bremerton QB Madden Benson is a 5’8″ 165-pound senior. Benson has completed 26 passes on 47 attempts for 398 yards and 6 TDs with 2 interceptions.  When Benson airs it out, he throws to wide receiver Trenton Bulmer 6’0″ 165 lb Sr. Bulmer has 16 receptions for 226 yards and 5 TDs.
