PORT ANGELES — After a bit of a break from warm weather, summer is returning large this week.
Expect temperatures into the 80’s here on the north Olympic Peninsula. It’ll get into the 90’s inland.
The National Weather Service says strong, high pressure will dominate the weather pattern through much of this week, resulting in warm weather.
Forecast high temperatures are in the 80s and 90s through Thursday, with lows mainly in the 60s. This brings a high heat warning for the Seattle metro and heat advisories for the rest of western Washington.
The warm and dry conditions will keep the fire weather threat elevated as well, especially in the mountains. The pattern starts to break down this weekend when we will start to see onshore flow again to cool things off a bit.
