PORT ANGELES – Fire has left a Port Angeles home uninhabitable.

About 9:45 Saturday morning, Port Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to a fully-involved residential structure fire along east 4th Street near the YMCA.

Crews arrived to find the single story, single family residence with a large amount of fire inside the structure and coming out doors and windows.  Fire also into the attic space.  

PAFD captain Kelly Ziegler says crews were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to adjacent occupancies and confirm no one was inside.  Due to the amount of damage, the house was not habitable for occupants to return.  

No one was injured. A loss value and cause of the fire are still under investigation.
