CLALLAM BAY – We have more information on the homicide that occurred Wednesday night in Clallam Bay.

The arrest report from the Sheriff’s Office says two witnesses saw 55-year-old Cipriano Ojeda-Ibarra shoot his stepdaughter, 39-year-old Charlotte Lopez, while she was standing in the doorway of her travel trailer.

The report says the suspect, described as “really drunk”, knocked on the door of the trailer and ordered Lopez and her two visiting friends off the property. The guests say they began walking to their car, but the suspect pointed what is believed to be a .357 revolver at the victim’s face and ordered her to stay.

The witnesses saw Ojeda-Ibarra shoot Lopez in the head as she was struggling to get away, and they went to their car to leave. They say the suspect walked to their car, pointed the gun at them and asked if they wanted the same before they drove away.

The witnesses called 911. When deputies arrived, a pickup was parked in front of the victim’s door, the suspect was coming out of the trailer, and the victim was found on her bed.

The deputy’s report says, based on their investigation, they believe Ojeda-Ibarra committed premeditated murder in the first degree and assault in the 2nd degree against the witnesses.
