SEQUIM — In soccer action last night, the Sequim Wolves beat Olympic 2-1. It’s the 3rd win in a row for the Wolves who are now 4-6.
The Port Angeles Roughriders roared back to tie their soccer match at two at the end of regulation with North Mason. The game went to sudden death overtime. When the sudden death overtime periods ended still tied at 2-2, the game went to penalty kicks. PA won the shootout 4 to 2. PA goalkeeper Marcus Hogan saved two Bulldog penalty kicks to get PA the 2 points and North Mason 1 point.
The Roughriders will host Kingston tomorrow night at 5 pm.

In fast pitch action, the 9th ranked Roughriders beat Bremerton 13-3. Cheyenne Zimmer earned the win pitching 3 innings with 5 strike outs. Lynzee Reid earned the save pitching 2 scoreless innings with 3 strike outs. At the plate Ava Anne Sheahan went 2 of 3 with 2 home runs with 4 RBIs. Kennedy Rongnlien went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double and 2 RBIs. Natalie Robinson went 3 of 4 with a triple and 2 RBIs. Taylor Worthington and Lily Halberg both went 2 for 4. Lexie Smith went 1 for 2. The Roughriders are now 10-1 on the season.

In golf, the Roughriders lost a close one to class 3A Bainbridge by just 12 strokes 166-178. Edun Bailey led the way shooting a 42. Phoenix Flores shot 43. Nate Anderson shot a 45. Austin Worthington and Cale Wentz shot 48s, and Reid Schmidt shot a 54.

In Junior Babe Ruth baseball action, Athletes Choice slammed Forks 17-0. Kaeden Indlicato pitched a complete game no hitter with 7 strike outs. Easton Fisher had a strong performance behind the plate. Athletes Choice had 11 hits. Kody Williams went 3 for 4 and Andre Campbell had 2 doubles.

In the Peninsula Soccer League, Forks FC beat the Coast guard 14-0. Hugo Sandoval Jr. had 5 goals. High Energy beat Los Primos 4-0. Salazar Painting beat Bandidos FC 6-1. Edgar Aceves and Pablo Salazar had 2 goals each. Windermere beat Pura Vida 3-0 and Straight slice beat Pantry and Latch 2-1.
